In November 2019, the Council of Ministers of Cuba approved the National Program Against Racism and Racial Discrimination, titled Color Cubano (Cuban Color), which aims to address the root causes of racism through a multidimensional and comprehensive approach.
To implement and monitor the program, a national Commission was established, composed of approximately thirty representatives from Cuban ministries, institutions, and organizations.
On October 12, 2023, Color Cubano Social Laboratory was inaugurated at the Quintín Banderas Cultural Center in Havana. This observatory will contribute to the implementation of the National Program.
