Use of the Country Brand
Procedure: Application for Authorization to Use the Country Brand
In accordance with Decreto 54/2021 “On the Country Brand of the Republic of Cuba”, natural and legal persons, whether national or foreign and domiciled or not in the national territory, may apply for authorization to use the Country Brand for organizational purposes, on goods, services, and events.
Applications for authorization to use the Country Brand are submitted to the Country Brand Council, which is part of the Institute of Information and Social Communication (ICS). Applications can be submitted via the digital platform in the Procedures Section of the aforementioned Institute’s website, by postal mail or electronic mail, or in person at the Country Brand Council’s headquarters.
Requirements for application:
The applicant or their legal representative must submit the following documents to obtain authorization to use the Country Brand:
a) El The application form established by the Country Brand Council, signed by the applicant or their legal representative;
b) document accrediting the legal or voluntary representation of the applicant, when applicable;
c) Other documents that may be required depending on the intended use of the Country Brand.
The form must be completed in its entirety and submitted with the additional required documentation, including a legal certificate accredited by a legal counsel and any other documents required for this process.
Receipt of application:
The application is registered, and the applicant is notified of its receipt.
If there are any issues with the form or other required documents, the application will be returned to the applicant, who must comply with the instructions provided by the Country Brand Council.
Response deadline:
The application will be answered within 30 working days after submission, provided that all conditions for authorization of use of the Country Brand have been met.
